3 Mobile Test Series: Australia v Pakistan

The cricket Test between Australia and Pakistan at the SCG, commencing on January 3, will turn pink in aid of the McGrath Foundation. Fans attending the January Test Match are encouraged to wear pink to support this worthy cause.

The SCG Trust will be further supporting the McGrath Foundation during the match, with the Trust’s traditional Day 3 ‘Ladies Day’ being renamed Jane McGrath Day. 

Note:  due to the wet weather experienced on Day 1 and subsequent match time lost, the scheduled start time has been brought forward to 10.00am for the remainder of the Test Match.

CROWD MANAGEMENT

The Sydney Cricket Ground has introduced a range of measures to ensure spectators have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable day at the cricket.  Patrons are urged to immediately report any instance of offensive or unruly behaviour to a Customer Service Officer or Crowd Safety Officer.

Trust Alcohol Policy
The SCG has a low alcohol policy and recommends patrons enjoy alcohol responsibly and in moderation.  The Sydney Cricket Ground practices Responsible Service of Alcohol.  A maximum of four low alcohol beers per serve, or two mid strength spirits per serve, or two mid strength wine coolers per serve may be purchased at public bars.

Mexican Waves
Cricket Australia has banned the Mexican Wave at international cricket matches at the SCG.  Patrons found instigating a Mexican Wave will be prosecuted under the Cricket Australia Conditions of Entry to the Venue.

Beach Balls
Beach Balls are prohibited as they cause injury, enter the playing arena and disrupt play.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Patrons are not permitted to bring the following items into the Sydney Cricket Ground: 

  • Alcoholic refreshments
  • Illicit drugs
  • Glass bottles or breakable containers
  • Offensive weapons, including potential missiles
  • Laser pointers
  • Metal containers, cans
  • Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades or bicycles
  • Dogs or other pets
  • Large eskies (that cannot fit under a grandstand seat)
  • Flags over 1m x 1m in size
  • Professional photographic camera equipment (Cricket Australia accredited media excepted)
  • Video equipment (Cricket Australia accredited media excepted)
  • Any item which, as deemed by the Sydney Cricket & Sports Ground Trust, can cause public nuisance or offence to any other user of the venue.

In caring for patron safety we reserve the right to refuse entry to people who are intoxicated and/or disorderly. 

No alcohol can be taken from the Sydney Cricket Ground premises. 

All persons movements upon entering the Sydney Cricket Ground premises is subject to monitoring by closed circuit television.  

Persons entering the playing area without authorisation will be prosecuted. 

Patrons should be aware that cricket balls may be hit from the playing field into the seating areas during events. Patrons are advised this can occur at any time. 

Patrons choosing to leave valuables on the premises do so at their own risk.

All patrons may be subject to bag searches before entering the venue. 

Patrons should note that children must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times while in the venue. 

SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited in all seating areas, bars and restaurants in the Sydney Cricket Ground.  Designated smoking areas are available at the rear of the Bradman Stand, Churchill Stand, M.A. Noble Stand, Members Stand and Ladies Stand.  Pass-outs are not issued at the SCG.

CLOAKROOM
There are no cloakroom facilities available at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
