Sia to perform at Allianz Stadium this December

May 28, 2017

Global superstar Sia will take to the stage at Allianz Stadium on Saturday, December 2 as part of her first-ever stadium tour in Australia and New Zealand.

Sia’s Nostalgic For the Present Tour will headline a stellar all-female line-up, which will see the hit-maker team up with Charli XCX, MØ and Amy Shark, three of the most exciting artists on the global music stage.

A multi-platinum artist, songwriter and international icon, Sia last toured Australia in 2011 to wide acclaim. Since then, she has shot to superstardom, becoming one of the most influential and prolific artists in the world.

She has collaborated with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé and David Guetta, and has penned songs for Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Camila Cabello, and more, chalking up multiple Grammy nominations.

The global pop sensation dazzled audiences with her unique live show at last year’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, with TIME calling the performance “one of the festival’s best.”

Billboard also wrote: “This year has featured some huge pop spectacles … but none as creatively captivating as what Sia is doing onstage in 2016. For an artist not prone to sprawling tours, Sia fully understands how to make the live experience feel vital.”

Sia’s performances will feature hit songs from her chart-topping album, This Is Acting, alongside iconic anthems from her previous releases; ‘Chandelier’, ‘Elastic Heart’ and ’Clap Your Hands’. She was also Spotify’s most-streamed artist last year, with ‘Cheap Thrills’ the most-played song by an Australian on radio last year.

Charli XCX has also become a force in the global pop landscape. She has worked with Icona Pop, Rita Ora and Iggy Azalea and toured with Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding and Coldplay, with her latest single ‘3AM (Pull Up)’, featuring MØ, currently making waves around the world.

Danish singer-songwriter MØ is a one of the industry’s fastest rising pop stars, and the co-writer and voice of the worldwide smash Major Lazer tracks ‘Cold Water’ and ‘Lean On’ – two of the most-streamed songs ever.

Local indie-pop wunderkind Amy Shark propelled into the spotlight when she landed at number two on Triple J’s Hottest 100 last year, with her dark pop anthem ‘Adore’. Her August headline tour has completely sold out and this will be the final chance for Aussie fans to see her in 2017.

Sia is renowned for blowing away her audiences with impressive vocals and delivering a captivating live performance. The announcement comes off the back of a number of successful concerts at Allianz Stadium including Coldplay, One Direction and most recently Ed Sheeran, which brought more than 95,000 fans through the turnstiles for two sold out shows.

Tickets for Sia go on sale on Wednesday, June 7 at 10am in Melbourne and 12pm in Sydney.
