Sydney FC in command as finals loom
April 10, 2017
Sydney FC require three points on Saturday night against the Newcastle Jets to break the Hyundai A-League record for the most competition points in a year.
Head coach Graham Arnold said that his side will be at full strength when they take to Allianz Stadium for the final game of the regular season.
“We’ve got one game left in the normal season and we’ll put our best team out,” Arnold said.
“We get the opportunity to celebrate the Premiers Plate which for me is as good as the Grand Final trophy.
“It shows we’re the best team in the country over 27 rounds. We’ll go out against Newcastle with our full team.”
The Sky Blues are coming off a 1-1 draw to the Wellington Phoenix and will be keen to build momentum heading into their finals campaign. Gates open at 4.35pm for a 5.35pm twilight kick off at Allianz Stadium. Tickets can be purchased here.
