FOCUS GROUP RESULTS

The Stadium Club recently conducted member focus groups to undertake qualitative research initiated to inform the goal of continuous improvement for the experience for members:

Research Objectives:

- Understand what recent improvements members have seen and the key changes/improvements wanted moving forwards

 - To gauge reactions to the chosen Stadium Club redevelopment/ expansion plans and initial responses to potential funding options

- To gain initial feedback on a concept-only plan for the outdoor, poolside area of the Stadium Club

- To explore reactions to potential service and product changes

Please find the below PDF version of results from this.

DON'T BE A WALLY!

Don't Be A Wally- Supervise Children

Meet Wally- The inconsiderate member who likes to rest on equipment, use his mobile phone and ignore other gym-goers during peak hour at the Stadium Fitness Centre.

He is the face of our 'Don't be a Wally' campaign which aims to highlight (and change) the behaviour of a small group of members and guests who continue to ignore the rules.

You will start to see him on screens and posters around the gym in the coming weeks as we respond to ongoing feedback about the selfish behaviour of certain individuals. It's an easy way to help make the facility a more enjoyable place for all.

So, don't be a Wally!

Please Observe Rules for the Benefit of All

The Stadium Club has recently received numerous complaints from Members about the behaviour of unsupervised children around the gym, pool and cafe.

Members are reminded that children under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times when using these areas. This includes the tennis and squash courts. They are not able to use the weights or cardio equipment under any circumstances.

This is especially important around the pool. Our lifeguards aren't babysitters and we don’t want them distracted from their safety role.

Spring is upon us, and the pool is getting busier. It makes for a happier experience if we all observe some basic common sense rules:

  • Use the showers before entering the pool
  • Only recognised waterproof nappies are to be worn by infants in the water
  • Choose an appropriate lane to your swimming ability
  • Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times
  • No diving, bombs or balls games

Towel usage in the Stadium Club is compulsory.  Please make sure you sit on your towel when working out in the weights area and wipe the equipment with disinfectant if you sweat all over it.

For your own safety, Members must wear closed in shoes within the main gym, upstairs gym, squash courts, tennis courts, group exercise room and while participating in classes.
