The Sydney Cricket Ground will host key international cricket fixtures in 2026-27, including a T20I against England and the New Year’s Test against New Zealand. These matches are part of a 27-match schedule across 14 venues nationwide, culminating in the historic 150th Anniversary Test at the MCG.
Cricket Australia has confirmed the 2026-27 international season will run from August 2026 through to March 2027, with Australia hosting Bangladesh, England and New Zealand across formats. Fans can expect high-stakes encounters and historic rivalries across white-ball and Test cricket throughout the country.
The Sydney Cricket Ground will again play a central role in the summer of international cricket, welcoming crowds for both T20I and Test fixtures.

- Men’s T20I Series v England: Sunday 29 November 2026 (N)
- NRMA Insurance Men’s Test Series v New Zealand: Monday 4 – Friday 8 January 2027
England’s return for a white-ball series delivers a high-energy T20I at the SCG, part of a five-match series played across the country.
The SCG will then host the traditional New Year’s Test as Australia faces New Zealand in the final match of a four-Test series. The fixture continues one of the ground’s long-standing traditions, closing out the Test summer in front of a Sydney crowd.
Across the wider season, Australia’s men’s and women’s teams will also take on Bangladesh and New Zealand, while England’s tour ensures a strong presence of international rivalry throughout the summer.
The schedule culminates in March with the 150th Anniversary Test at the MCG, marking a significant moment in the game’s history.
